Financial Reports
Annual Budget – Approved budgets for the last five years and the proposed budget for the upcoming year.
Raw Budget – The raw budget file is for the current fiscal year. This file can be downloaded as Excel and is searchable.
Annual Financial Report – Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the last five years. These are annually audited financial statements. Please click to view the City’s “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” presented to the City of Georgetown by the Government Finance Officers Association.
Quarterly Reports – The quarterly financial reports present the City’s main sources of revenues and expenditures year-to-date and contain information about the City’s investments and Capital Improvement Program progress.

Expenses for lobbying services – The City of Georgetown has hired a consulting firm to protect and represent our community’s values and interests in State and Regulatory affairs. This contract allows the City to have resources dedicated to issues critical for both local government and municipal utility operations and helps enhance our working relationships with State officials toward common goals. Since 2014, the City has contracted with Austin-based Focused Advocacy, LLC. The Georgetown City Council on Feb. 11, 2020, approved a $208,400 contract with the firm for Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021. This information will be listed in our proposed budget document as “Consulting – Legislative Lobbying.” View current and previous contracts here. State disclosure laws do not apply to membership dues or fees for agencies that, in one way or another, perform some lobbying.
Bond Rating – A bond issuer’s Bond Rating indicates financial strength or ability to pay a bond’s principal and interest in a timely fashion. Private independent rating services such as Standard and Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch provide these evaluations. The City of Georgetown obtains a bond rating for each of its bond issues and is currently assigned a Standard & Poor’s rating of “AA+” for General Obligation bonds and “A+” for Utility Revenue bonds.

Fiscal and Budgetary Policy -The broad purpose of the Fiscal and Budgetary Policies is to enable the City to achieve and maintain a long-term stable and positive financial condition, and provide guidelines for the day-to-day planning and operations of the City’s financial affairs.
Investment Policy – This Investment Policy applies to all financial assets of the City of Georgetown, Texas, which includes the City of Georgetown Economic Development Corporation and the Georgetown Transportation Enhancement Corporation, held in all funds.

Conflict of Interest – If the City has any employee or board member who needs to report a Conflict of Interest they can do so by submitting a form. Those forms can be found here.
